Speedy Fox & Friends 107 - Use Chalk

My first week as a DT member with MFP a HC was a blast!  I enjoyed looking at all the works of art that were entered into our challenge last week.  For this week we are to use chalk!  I used the awesome new  stamp set: "Oopsy Daisy".  I layered the petals of the flower 3 times.  I stamped once on to the black card stock and chalked the image.  Then I stamped the flower a 2nd and 3rd time onto black card stock and cut those out.  The 2nd one I popped up with a foam squares and attached to main flower..  For the 3rd image I cut the center of the flower out, then  cut shorter petals and glued them on the yellow center.  Once dried the center with petals was glued onto the 2nd layer.  For a final touch I pinched the edges of the petals down to give them more dimension.  The ladybug was stamped on red card stock then shined up with Glossy Accents.

I hope to see you over at Speedy Fox & Friends Challenge this week. I can't wait to see all the beautiful chalk art linked up!  Remember if you use MFP a Heinrich Company stamps your name gets entered into the drawing twice!

  4. Great card using chalk and black. What ink do you use to stamp on Black? I have tried this with brilliance inks before.

  5. Hi Angie! Thanks for stopping by my blog today. I was so excited to play along at Speedy Fox & Friends. I wanted to let you know about my chalks. They are VERY old. I got them (literally) about 15 years ago - a set of 40 colors. Some are nothing but a "nub" left - LOL. I have taken all the wrappers off, and when I use it to "age/distress" a project, I rub the chalk onto a craft sponge or makeup applicator and then gently swipe the edges. The chalk works better than ink because it has a light powdery look. Thanks for asking - I really enjoyed this challenge.
I'd love to have you as a follower, and would like your permission for me to follow your blog as well. I look forward to more fun challenges with you all.
    Blessings,
